Watch Bracelet care

Hello Everyone, can someone recommend what/how to clean a watch bracelet?

Sometimes when buying pre owned watches you get really grimy pieces.

To clean the bracelet I take it off and put it in an ultra sonic cleaner for some rounds. Much easier than doing it my hand with a brush.

I agree with @robwei that an ultrasonic cleaner is ideal, especially if the bracelet hasn't been cleaned in a while. They can be picked up very inexpensively, and do a great job - just make sure that you don't try to clean the watch itself.

Regular hand soap along with a soft bristle brush also does a decent job.

I had received a Cartier metal bracelet cleaning kit from my AD when I purchased my Santos, and it does a fantastic job. I assume that the spray included within that kit is likely something along the lines of WristClean, which I've never used, but have heard great things about.

I use an AIS ChronoPen. It was originally called the Max Wilsdorf ChronoPen.

“Our Swiss Made watch cleaning pen includes 30ml of our specifically developed cleaning solution and an extra fine brush head.  The unique all-in-one handheld design allows you to clean your precious timepiece gently. In addition, you receive our extra thick polishing towel to your order.

  1. I wash my watches regularly, especially if I use my watch while exercising or it gets wet. This product allows you is easily wash your watches without worry about scratching it. I rinse my watch off with RO or Distilled water and then use an air dust canister to try off the watch. The air duster can is especially useful for getting the water out from underneath the bezel and between the bracelet links.
