Hi crunchers.
I don't hear much (not at all) about this line of Seiko watches from the 70s here. Do any of you like them as much as I do? I don't glean a lot of information on the net, apart from a few sales here and there, and a few snippets of info on the calibers used and the why and how. Any additional information would be welcome.
Thank you for your interest and Norman friendships.😉😁
A good boy who spends all his money on watches.😅 51 years, and living in Normandy , "terre de liberté". I am mainly a fan of Seiko but I like other brands.😜
Love the squared faceted glass of that era. What did the Advan* stands for?

There is the question. 😅https://www.thewatchsite.com/threads/advan-anyone.40430/
What a cool piece.
I love advans and vanacs but sadly don't own one. I do have a lovely citizen however which gives the same vibe at a lower price point

Yes, these Citizen from the same period are also very very beautiful. 👏
Seiko decided to go a bit wild in the 70s with these (citizen as well) think it was to get in on the space craze. And they are a bit crazy, but lovely all the same. Mine here is from 73, and it's got the usual problem, scratched glass which is a problem most suffer from. And getting a discount on a rolex sub is easier than finding a new glass for one of these (if anybody has any info). If you get one with perfect crystal you've got a rarity. Love mine, but will love it more with a new crystal.
