What even is that crystal?

This looks cursed

I'm pretty sure it's an oil watch. Oil gets rid of reflexion and produces quite a magnifier effect. The air bubble is needed to let the oil adapt to different temperatures expanding or shrinking.

All that and typically increases water resistance.

I didn't know that. Thanks

As others have said, give re-DONK-u-lous levels of water resistance.

The beauty of water, and fluids in general, they don't like to compress as easily, and push back if you will relatively hard.

It's why EOD, bomb squads, and breachers use water for stuff actually.

Sinn does the same thing.

Bubble would drive me nuts, it's their "feature". But if personally pay more for a bellows system in the back.

And yes the bubble is needed, downside of oil filling, is more susceptible to extreme temperature fluctuations.

Which is why Ressence has a thermostat meter on their watch, for what it's worth.

Personally I'd love someone to come up with an Ameriquartz, oil filled, batt hatch on the back, bellows underneath watch.

If pay $$ for it actually.

That would be quite the watch.
