Mate gave me this as a non runner. Got the movement out, rather a Pita, but at least I knew what to expect with a Precimax🙄
Only a half hearted stab at it. I could see old congealed oil in the jewels on the caseback side of the movement. So "cleaned" these in situ with Isopropanol, then oiled them. Removed some fluff from the ballance wheel. Yes, it runs... Well the second hand does, canon pinion must be loose, minute and hour hands just sit there motionless, sneering at me. I thought this would be the case, as when adjusting the time, they were too easy to turn, and when pressing the crown in, the minute hand would move.
Another job, another day. 😁
Came with a fixo flex bracelet, cleaned that up. 😊
Slightly eccentric, wicked sense of humour. Self confessed watch cheapskate, who tinkers with watches. Love motorbikes, to date, I've ridden about 250,000 miles, 113,000 of which are on my BMW 1150GS....
