Try Before You Buy

Anyone ever take advantage of Amazon’s Try Before You Buy program when it comes to watches? I’ve done it with clothes that I wasn’t sure would fit but didn’t realize they had some watches as well. My wife will absolutely kill me if I *buy* another watch right now, but I wouldn’t mind wearing that Lunar Pilot or green Sumo for a few days at no cost.

I’m sure they really intend it for people who may actually buy the watch, but my expert level rationalization skills say that I have done so much business with Amazon over the years it is the least they can do 😁

I came very close last night but didn't do it, mainly because I knew the second I had it in my possession I would end up buying it, if you give it a go keep us posted though

Interesting... Never noticed that option before. Will have to give it a go at some point.

As far as feeling guilty about it or thinking "it's not right", a couple of points, if I may...

1) it's offered as a service. It's not like you're buying it to wear to the debutante ball, leaving the tags on and then returning it Monday morning.

2) Bezos is rich beyond belief. He can afford to pay for the possible damaged or lost watches.

Very true. I guess the difference is with Try Before You Buy you never get charged if you return it on time. Otherwise with a normal return you get charged at the time of purchase and then would later go through the refund process (which, to Amazon’s credit, is usually hassle free).

Quite right. And I actually wouldn’t even wear it out of the house…I simply want to be able to relax on the couch and enjoy staring at my own wrist.

Never noticed the option my self. Might have to try that option out my self. But I personally will probably only do it for a watch I’m actually trying to keep. When I return it I wonder if another watch enthusiast is receiving it as brand new while I walked around with it for a few weeks. Lol

Did that with shoes. Didn’t know you could do it for watches

·

I'd do it. Amazon will accept just about any return so why not?

Didn't know it applies to watches!! That's a life saving service for trying out watches. You never really know how it fits until you try it on. Sometimes, the numbers isn't always what it seems
