For my 60 day badge, here's the AW-60 series. The fitness tool of the 90s.

I thought I'd showcase this colorful series from 1992. Before fitbits or smartwatches Casio had this training watch that could track your calorie burn depending on the exercise and intensity. You would input basic stats like age, weight, gender then enter a calorie target that you wish to burn plus an intensity level that you plan to exercise at.

The subdial will point to the exercise intensity and the hour/minute hands begin counting the calories burned. When you reach the calorie goal the watch will beep to let you know. It also helps you track your sessions by saving your calorie burns up to two weeks.

I spent a few years hunting down the 3 different colors it came in. Japan had a couple versions as well, with a slightly different module for their market. Just another example what made Casio so dominant in the digital arena.

These watches are more 90s than a side ponytail!

I'm continually amazed everytime I stumble across a watch from Casio that was incredibly ahead of its time. Thanks for sharing these!

Lol totally. I've been cataloging Casios for years and still come across models I never knew about. Their selection was truly mind blowing.
