Seiko 5 from the 90’s or so my dad picked up at a flea market in London last summer. It doesn’t run that well to be honest and gonna try to get it serviced in Chicago. Any recommendations?

My father in law has the same model just a bit more wrecked than yours...

Good luck with the service! Let us know in the future how it goes!

Nice vintage Seiko. I'm on the wrong side of the pond for service recommendations sadly. My mate Gareth @GasWorks lives near me in the UK and restores and services vintage seikos. I have bought quite a few from him....

I've got some others but no pictures to hand. I'm a but addicted! They stop me ( mostly) buying the more expensive stuff. Still got a MN FXD and a Railmaster in my long term sights though!

You don't need no FXD. I have a lovely few things coming soon 😁

A nice silver linen dial 5606.

A Citizen Adorex with a lovely dial once we sort that crystal out. Nice flat sapphire methinks

A Seiko Actus SS that's pretty tidy but will get the full Gasworks treatment..

..there's exciting other stuff too. Including a Lordmatic that I'll struggle to let go

It needs a polish (despite looking decent in the photo) and a service ... it'll be nice once done
