Resize help for Zodiac Seawolf GMT

First time posting. Thought it would be a cooler post. But things are tricky.

Anyways got a Zodiac GMT. I have resized all my watches even a double screw pin which was a pain. For the life of me I can't figure out how to resize this. I even called Zodiac and they didn't know. According to the manual it looks like the side flips up. However there are no arrows and I wasn't sure If I needed to remove a pin to flip it up.

Do any of you know how I am supposed to size this band. I am concerned to try and remove the pin since I don't no the direction. I assumed it was a pin and collar but a bit nervous to just try a direction. Thanks watch crew ha.

I have a Fortis with something similar. Stuff like that I gladly take to my watch guy to deal with.

Funny how the manual makes it sound so easy.

Good luck.

Well Zodiac still claims the instructions are correct but I could not make it work. So I just took a gamble and treated it as a normal pin and collar and seemed to work lol. Nothing like taking a big gamble on an expensive watch. But meet the new addition to the watch fam all sized up lol.

Resizing those bracelets is a goddamn nightmare. I went through all seven stages of grief when I did it about a year and a half ago. I’m sorry but I have no idea how I managed finally to do it, though I can say that the directions (somehow still) leave out an important step that you need to do before you can flip up the end and actually remove the link.

In the end, my comment here is mostly just for reasons of solidarity and moral support. Good luck and godspeed.

Nice looking piece. Glad you managed to achieve success with the bracelet. Now I’m interested to hear how it holds up over time.

When I took out the pin I even used a loupe to see what was up. It was a normal straight pin and collar. From what I could see the pin could come out either direction and there was a middle friction line on the pin that would hit the center of the collar. Even when the links were off there was no obvious way to flip up the side of the link. I think what I did was probably the correct way. The part I don't understand is why their instructions indicate arrows which are not there and a flipping link which seems to not be a thing lol. I hope it stands the test of time ha.

Hey! I used to have a Zodiac Grandrally and it also had a system where part of the link flipped up like this. I was able to size the bracelet without a tool. When you look at the bracelet, you should find the arrow that directs you to flip part of the link up with your finger, slide the link off, and take out as many links as you need. Then just put the link back on and flip it closed. It’s actually a pretty neat system! This video shows it better than my description😂https://youtu.be/a9bSwiXQgmk

So that is super cool. Mine doesn't have arrows. I wonder if I somehow have a wrong or fake band...

First off Welcome to Watch Crunch and Enjoy! I'd just stop by a jeweler. Having said that, you are in the right place to get help.
