I've been watching "The Met" a UK BBC TV programme about the London police. As usual, I can't help noticing what watch people are wearing. This detective (looking at evidence bags) doesn't inspire confidence. Can you spot why?
My point is you don't want your cops decked out in super expensive timepieces because they don't make enough to wear expensive pieces. If they are wearing expensive hardware they may be on the take

Sorry, but I disagree.
A detective is on fairly good money. They can certainly afford a sub 2k watch. They may also have been gifted the watch, or inherited some money and treated themselves. Wearing a nice watch in an office environment is something many people do, regardless of their job role.
At a local petrol station there's a young lad in his late teens/early 20's on minimum wage wearing a very nice Tag Heuer. Should I assume he's a criminal?
Ooooooo. Crime story. I see he has his watch the wrong way, but that canโt be it, can it? Being a crime story in London, I have to figure that, thatโs normal over there. You know, the metric system! ๐๐๐

I totally see your point, but in this case I think a detective can easily afford a Hamilton. Plus, it could be a gift or inheritance, we donโt know the story behind it or the detectives personal finances.

Well The Met has allegedly had a corruption problem. So you never know.
It was right-side up to the wardrobe assistant who put the watch on the actor.
Also, some jobs require upside-down work. When I worked for a travel company and marked up maps for customers, I had to work with the map upside-down so they were right-side up for the customer. Also, when I worked at a lab and videotaped bench tests, the guy on camera wore his watch upside-down so it was right-side up when he showed it to the camera facing him. Maybe the detective also does it this way for taped interviews?

Beware of law enforcement donning 18K luxury watches. It may be a sign of who the real Cartel boss is

18k?
Try 1.5k. it's a Hamilton (most likely).

I guess you better report the senior officer for alleged corruption based on the ยฃ1500 watch he shouldn't be wearing on his paltry ยฃ50k+ salary.
He's clearly not in a position to be buying such an item. Hopefully he doesn't own a house or a nice car either.

What psychopath (police or not ) wears their watch upside down aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh ๐คฏ๐คฏ
Had an X-wind automatic chronograph, the crown is on the left....

That is a hilarious oversight by the props, the actor, the director, the cameraman and anyone else just standing in the room.
Hey man, your watch is upside down
Its not upside down!
Its a LHD Hamilton Khaki Aviation X-wind. I even posted a photo of the watch just below the OP's post.
Nobody made a mistake except the person making this thread.
Hope that helps (if anyone can be bothered to read it).
