Dirty Dozen Re-Lumed?
After that recent post about the crazy Dirty Dozen watch find I did some research and just had to get one. I’ve just purchased this and waiting for delivery.
Can anyone shed any insight as to whether this has been re-lumed? The seller wasn’t sure. The dial and lume looks to be in good condition for the age, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s re-lumed. And I’d probably prefer that so I can wear it all the time without worry. Thanks.

A few things you can check are:
Is the lume on the dial & hands the same colour & consistency. It's more likely the hands would be relumed than the dial
Does the lume look the same colour as other Cyma examples of this watch
Does the lume fade quickly after a light is shone on it
Is it radioactive if checked with a radiation meter? These were originally lumed with Radium so radioactivity should be present

Thanks for the detailed reply. Yeah I was aware of the radium. That was the main driver for asking. I’ll use your suggestions when it lands (I don’t have a Geiger counter though)

This is a MoD replacement dial. The ministry of defence modified some of the original dirty dozen watches due to radium. Yes it has been relumed by MoD but still original. They replaced the whole dial so there won’t be any radium.
