By accident! I guess when you've bought a second watch you've started collecting. I started with a "work watch" something cheap that told the time but didn't mind the odd scratch on... and then bought a nicer watch (Christopher Ward) for wearing out. Then I was hooked!
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
Timex Ironman
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
I have my late father's Seiko Moonphase from around 1986. Nothing expensive or grand, but I remember the little moon on it when I was a kid and I have looked after it ever since he passed. I wear it on special occasions like Father's Day and my Father's birthday.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Don't be impulsive otherwise you'll buy watch after watch after watch, and then realise what you ACTUALLY like is not what you've been buying. Do your research, work out what YOU like and don't be easily influenced!
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Glycine, Seiko and Heimdallr
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
Rolex Exlorer. Just looks perfect to me but I would never part with that much money on a single watch.
