So here's the finished product for my putting a cyclops on my Duro. It didn't end up perfect, but it is helpful.
I'm glad I experimented on this watch. It's a gem, but I did only pay $11 new for it. This taught me that I need to get some decent tweezers. I had some shitty plastic ones that came in a watchmaker's kit that I bought, I thought they might do the trick but they were really awful and I had to end up using my fingers, so I suspect there's fingerprint on there that I'd rather there wasn't. It seems a little cloudy and not 100% how I'd like it to have wrapped up, but a lesson learned.

The old school way was to just put a heaped drop of clear nail varnish on the crystal and let it dry out to create a cyclops.
Oh wow, that's really interesting to read! I've never heard of that.
So this is maybe half a millimeter off? I'm betting you won't even notice it in a week or so. Well, you'll notice the more legible date but not the imperfect magnifier placement.

I just got back from the store with some better tweezers and I'm about to post my results with my Willard homage. I think it went a ton better! Can't wait to get a new band on this puppy. I took the band off to put it on my new Citizen, but I'm excited to give this one a go again. It's one of my favorites.
