A geek with a long time love of watches, since childhood. Started with geeky tech watches like Zeon Databank and moved to mechanical and automatic, but still love me a gadget watch!
Started with gadget watches as a child, like casio databank and Mario bros game watch
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
Are you kidding I cannot remember that far back! But it was most likely a Casio as I had plenty over the years
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
Most of my favourite watches have a story to them, but I guess my favourite is the simple USSR built Sekonda. It was a 21st birthday present to my dad from his grandad and he wore it all the time. The crystal was cracked and strap ready for the bin, so he gave it to me for me to get repaired. Years later it was the watch I wore to my wedding as he wore it to his and is still married to my mum, over 40 years later!
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Research before you buy and don't just get the most expensive watch you can, and try things on to get an idea of what size suits you and feels right
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Varies depending on what type of watch I am looking for at present, but Omega, Longines, Tudor, Tissot, Rotary, JDM Casio, JDM Seiko and JDM Citizen most recently.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
I don't have just one grail watch but a number I would love to own one day....
Tudor North Flag
Rolex Milgauss
JLC Reverso
VC 222 vintage
