Starting the week with my Vostok Komandirskie 24 hr model 650541. Despite some quirks that limit its rotation appearance, it’s been a good watch, 32 jewels, automatic, 200m WR, decent lume, and unique Eastern European aesthetics. Be kind and have a great week!

I really like the 24 hours
Great looking piece 👌. I love the textured dial, popping red, and the numerals. 🎯💯
I've wanted one of these for a while. I wish I would have picked one up before the prices increased a couple of years ago.

Thanks Josue, it’s my only 24 watch, the poor man’s Airman. 🤣

Thanks Tony, I really didn’t notice the texture until today’s closeup shot, the legibility is great. Have a great day!

You can still pick one up used for around $50, it’s a nice change from the 12 hr dials. Be aware that the bracelet, stem and hands are janky, brand new so don’t think it’s broken if there’s a lot of play in them. Cheers

I'll have to check it out, thanks! I've heard about the Vostok wobbly crown situation, but haven't experienced it yet.

Not crazy bad but probably not what you are used to!
I see it lives up to its reputation. 😁
Gorgeous Vostok!!!
Cracking watch, Mark.. and I'm not referring to the crown 😉
I have it’s sibling model, 650546. I love my 24-hour watches.

Personally, Vostoks were basically one of the first adult watches I’ve owned and have been worn the most in my collection, so I’ve gotten used to it. It can be a little tricky at first but if you stick with it, you get the hang of it.

Hot take: I’d argue that this Vostoks 24-hour watches are the more interesting product compared to modern Airmen. Airmen models used GMTs movements whereas Vostok has dedicated true 24-hour mechanical movements, with the current ones being
2431.01 time-only (automatic)
2431 time+date (automatic)
2431.?? time + date (manual-wind and used in the Warrior models in the 280 case. I don’t remember the last couple of numbers for this movement).
Glycine uses rebranded (🙄) Eta 2893-2s and Selita SW330-1s, which are GMT movements with the main hour hand removed.
