Bertolucci

Hoping my fellow crunchers can help me out! I inherited this watch from a friend who passed. I have found very little information about it and was hoping you could shed some more light on it for me.

From a quick google search this appears to be from the Pulchra line.

A google image search should provide information.

I found out a little info. Really couldn’t find any info about when it was made, or maybe the movement inside. I know it’s 18k gold also, but don’t know much more than that

Bertolucci was a brand started by a watchlist enthusiast who wanted his name on a watch. Obviously the watches were not a huge financial success but were somewhat relevant during the 90s available at boutiques, advertised in glossy magazines. They sold for massive discounts from the MSRP. Here is my personal connection to the story. The Canadian agent for AP, Brequet Breitling and a few other lessor known brands was also the agent for Bertolucci here in Canada. One December day, he called my home hoping that I might join him and Mr Bertolucci visiting TO for a fast lunch at a well known Italian eatery, Grano. At the time my wife owned a Breitling, a Cartier and a Bertolucci, the agent playfully asked what watch she was wearing? Of course she answered wrongly, haha. I missed my chance to meet a true watch enthusiast since I was not home to receive the call. I apologize that my story does not inform about your watch but it was real, was loved, even admired and sadly also failed commercially. They were mainly quartz, two tone and often had diamonds on the bezels and dials.

Thank you!! What a cool story. This one works great and keep’s wonderful time. It’s honestly not my style of watch. But I wear it occasionally.

Wear it well my friend, honestly they were sort of ugly but memories are greater than beauty.
