Breitling acquires Universal Geneve

Big news. Great news, in fact.

UG, in my opinion, has one of the best and most iconic catalogues in the business.

They're deserving of a large investment and being part of the wider conversation. I'm pumped to see what happens.

I'm also curious to see what Breitling does with it. It's not an obvious partnership, and I'm not the biggest Breitling fan, but they seem to be doing well financially. They also have a very impressive retail experience. So, what do I know?

I'm certainly a fan of UG, and increasingly Breitling lately. I think Breitling could do great things with the brand... as long as they stick to the original catalog and ethos of UG. Perhaps some tasteful modernisation.
