Casio and Citizen keep getting soooo close to making my perfect watch.

I'm not super picky looks wise. Probably half their watches look good enough to me.

I'd be happy with the GBD-200 with this newer type of screen but in titanium instead of plastic.

And no, they can't charge 4 grand for it like the square MRG above. That's Rick-diculous! (Silly Rick and Morty reference) 400 bucks would be fine. NOT 10X THAT. 😬

Or an analog digital watch in titanium would be fine. Up to 600 bucks, as long as it actually fits my 6.5" wrist. Most of these Mudmaster ones are too tall for me so there's huge air gaps in the strap. I've not tried this new model yet though.

I have one titanium but it just feels too small for me and it's missing some of the newer features. And only 3 buttons so the controls are more limited. Not perfect yet. Great price at 200 bucks and it's sapphire too.

Citizen have a few in titanium that look awesome to me (I love pilot watches) but the screen and controls are even worse than my current one. Man this is soooo close though. 😬 Especially because it can pass as an "adult" watch and not just a sporty watch if you know what I mean. Plus I love the busy dial similar to the Seiko Flightmaster.

The wait continues I guess.... 🤷😭

I'm only in my 30s.

Maybe when I'm 90 I'll find one. 😭

Do you think that that citizen would fit your 6.5" wrist? It's like 44mm or something like that I think.

What about some other Casio lines? Oceanus, edifice? What are those missing? Like what are you looking for?

Well the big issue is I need the countdown timer and it's not common on watches. Mostly it's only on digital or analog digital combo watches... Or smart watches but I hate charging and I hate the bump on the underside.

And yes 44mm is fine for me. I like big watches. This one is 43mm and I enjoy it. But no timer.

So, for countdown timer there are only a few citizens, calibers like u680. Casio Edifice has a few models, check them out. And then you're left with gshocks and smart watches.

Yeah I guess for now it's maybe best to just have different watches for different uses. G shock for work. Nice watch for going out.

I really like the way the citizen looks but I don't want to spend a grand just to find out if it's even comfy on my wrist.

Yeah, that's the way to go. It's not like you really need a countdown timer at your person 24/7. You can do it all with 2-3 watches and they don't need to be expensive.
