Choosing between watches

Hey guys, I'm new to watches I currently have a Casio and Timex. For my next watch I wanted a skeleton watch, even though I know at my price range skelton watches aren't good, I just want it to work and be able to look at the movement. However let me know if I should go for a Pagani design, Stuhrling or just not consider skeleton watches at all and get another Timex. Thank you

The materials for Stuhrling are cheap and watch overpriced.

My personal opinion I would go with this options instead:

My 1st choice: is not skeleton watch but is open heart and looks very classy for under 200.

Orient Bambino RA-AG0001S10B Bambino Open Heart Watch • EAN: 4942715012380 • Mastersintime.com

Go to Chrono24 and search "skeleton watches"...you'll find a ton of stuff that's not too expensive.

Have you considered a regular dial with an exhibition case back?  If that does it for you, it would really open up some possibilities.

Or...this!

I don't know what it is, and the movement is probably crap, but it looks the business.  Seriously, it looks fancy af and is the reason people don't understand brands like Lange.  It's $60, and for that price if the hands move, you've made a decent purchase.

Pagani are just rip off artists. I wouldn't be seen dead with one of their watches. Even their name is a rip of a car brand.

Sthurling is just overpriced Chinese crap. See the recent review by Ben's Watch Club on YouTube.

I don't like Orient because of all the animals they harm. Often leather is just mislabeled cats and dogs from China which is the world's biggest producer of leather and it's just very off putting to me personally. But there are steel bracelet versions and they look much classier than most skeletons in my opinion.

Timex - just be aware the cheaper ones are incredibly loud. Go for the chronographs instead.

Casio - God level watches. This one is amazing.

For 160 bucks you get titanium (ultra light and comfy on the skin), solar, sapphire, radio controlled, excellent sizing and ultra wide/flat back for comfort. And digital timers and alarms which are super useful. It even has a great orange LED light which isn't as harsh on the eyes as many other options.

And don't ignore Citizen. Just as reliable as Casio with over 100 years of history and loaded with features just like Casio.

Quick tip: always check Casio and Citizen regional websites to find other watches. Japan, UK, Europe, USA etc.

That's how I found my grail watch on their Japan site. It's like 700 bucks which is a lot for me but I love the look and it has a great bracelet as well.

And that's a good point actually. You might find that chronographs and pilot's watches (like that Citizen I posted) gives you that visual interests without looking tacky like a lot of skeletons can look.

This one was 125 bucks plus 5 for the expanding bracelet (very comfy if sized well.

See my recent post about my 8 favorite watch tips.

Oh and if you look for pilot's watches avoid the Seiko Flightmaster. It's an overpriced, uncomfortable, barely usable, fragile piece of crap.

Buy what you like. If you dont like it later just sell it or gift it. Just be ready for that possibility.

Exhibition case backs allow you to see more of the movement than skeleton watches, but again if you like a look there are brands like Invicta and Bulova that will do the trick at a good price.

To illustrate my point on case backs, you can go right to the source (i.e. China) and buy a Chinese brand watch like the 1963 chronograph. $200 or less (depending on reseller or model) and its a mechanical column wheel movement that you can stare at for a while. See here example:
