As with many people, it started with my dad who collects watches. I was at home from uni one weekend and I casually said, "man, I need a watch." My dad left the room and brought back a ziplock bag full of pieces and said "here, take one of these." after sorting through then, I found one I liked and from that point I started looking into watches as something I can start collecting as marks for life events etc. and that's where it all started!
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
It is a quartz sports watch from an unknown year from an unknown maker, given to me from the depths of my father's ziplick bag collection. currently it resides in my watch case.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Learn about and enjoy the watches you like. deeper dives make you treasure timepieces even more.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Lorier, Christopher Ward, and vintage Seiko and Casio have been my interests this year (2023).
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
A Rolex Explorer II "McQueen." I think it is one of the most timeless looking GMTs ever made.
