So I’m now in the land of [Swiss Made] and just casually walked into the Swatch store to pick one up, it’s like no one wants them anymore with all the focus on the Blancpain one’s with them all sold out, so never mind it’s fine , the moonswatch is for my wife.
Some thing that never change though are of course Rolex, they had nothing for sale but I got to try on the titanium yatch master and the lady sales assistant said while your trying that I’ll let you try the all gold GMT master II ! Wow!! The difference in weight was amazing!

I got my wife that same speedy. She loves it. Good choice.
You don’t have to go all the way to Europe to get that Swatch. You can literally walk-in, in San Francisco Swatch and walk out with any of the colors you like besides the Mercury and the Neptune.

And the Moon. But if you go really early before they open, they usually have the Moon and Mercury about 3-5 pieces almost any day.

I think it’s just a bit of fun and a nice way to get her a little into the hobby, I’ve been wanting to get her a Cartier Ronde must that she seems to like , but always says it’s too expensive and she never really wears watches…. So hope this will help, it’s cheap , when would never buy this over retail & it’s a nice reminder of our trip here

I wish ! I’m in Zurich with family so I only have limited time to do watch related stuff
I’ve only been here a day , and it’s the wrong city for horology , there is a list of great areas & museums , the trip is a family one so we’ll be going to see the views & snowy mountains.

If we saw one at retail in the other city’s we have been to , we said we might get one, it just so happens that with planned trip to Switzerland was close to the blancpain swatch collaboration, would have preferred a fifty fathoms but a moonswatch will do.

In Lucerne? You can visit the Lion Monument, the "Verkehrshaus", you can go to a boat trip to Brunnen. For eating i recommend "Richemont" a little bit outside of the city, very nice place on the lake for a short walk. More in the city is "Bierliebe and Friends" - good beer and burgers😆 the best pizza in town you can have at La Bestia. I can also recommend Pastarazzi for italian food. The KKL is also worth a visit - famous concert hall. If you need more recommendations feel free to ask 🤣 for watch geeks: you also can visit Chronoswiss.
I'm not really into the vintage topic. New Seikos you can find on the shops from Christ. A good adress for special watches is the dealer "Uhrsachen" in Berne - they have a lot of non-mainstream brands. Maybe there are some independent watchmakers in the area of biel - sometime they are dealing with vintage pieces.
