Vintage early 90’s Gruen swim watch. This thing is almost a 1:1 copy of the Tag Huer 36mm F1 that came out around the same time. When I restored it I was shocked at just how many parts there were to this little quartz watch. The bezel assembly alone almost took an engineering degree to disassemble without breaking.

Great refurb job, Chad. I definitely see the F1 similarities. Nice job! 🔥

Yep, I definitely see the similarities. My original band looked just like yours but it broke long ago.

Absolutely love these👆🏻I wanted one so bad when I was a teenager. Still absolutely love the case shape. I was surprised to discover this little Gruen has a coated metal case and some sort of slow type push pull crown with giant rubber gaskets, however it still says 150ft on it so I’m not sure what it took to qualify as a 200meter rating, but apparently Gruen didn’t feel the need to get it certified 🤷🏼‍♂️ Tempted to retrofit a screw down crown… caseback already is.

I think I remember these from the 90s. I'm wanting to say it came in orange too. 🤔 or I'm remembering an entirely different watch lol
