Laco GMT

Hello. New to the forum. Looking for my firts bit if advice. Any one have feedback on the Laco Frankfurt GMT?  Very nice face. The bezel seems a little different. For under 2k seems like a good value.  Then again most of their other watches are half the price.  Thoughts?

looks unique and awesome. i own an aachen for over 2 years. never got any problem, good build quality too

Thanks. Will check out that model too. My concern is the price jump from about 450 to almost 2k. would you pay 2k for the build quality?  I’m sure Laco is stepping it's game up with this but it’s a huge leap.

I looked at the Frankfurt GMT a while ago, even posted a thread on another popular forum asking for opinions on it. I think I got 2 replies. It does look good, at least to me, but it seems like it hasn't gained much traction. Probably because of the price. Let us know if you go for it. I'll be interested to hear your take on it.

probably because of the movement. frankfurt use sellita and aachen use miyota.

I own one and did some traveling in Europe with it over the summer.  I really like it and found it to be a very practical travel companion.  The case is comfortable to wear for extended periods and the build quality of the watch is nice. The lume is good.  It has a strong sense of design with a fresh tool vibe that is not too blingy and is unlikely to attract attention.  Obviously there are cheaper and more expensive gmt watches out there.  But for me Laco seems to have hit a sweet spot of rugged design and build quality without the weight of nostalgia.  I would say it's a very nice travel watch.
