Q: How did you get into watch collecting?

Have always had a need to know the time at any given hour. Even as a kid. Dabbled with a few didn't know much about watches until I took apart a Movado watch and made it work again. Kaboom I was hooked. Now I have all sorts of watches, quartz, automatic, diver, sport, dress, chrono, love it! It's addicting though 25 and still going

Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?

Pulsar 1977.... To me it was space, age, technical and fancy. Never did figure out how to make it work properly. Very gadgety

Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?

Citizen AT-9010 World Time. My wife has never been overly creative with Gifts, but one Christmas 2016 a watch sales person convinced her I would like this citizen AT. He was absolutely right. I got the bug right then in there I will never sell this watch even though the wife is gone. The watch will stay forever

Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?

Just buy what feels good to you. Don't worry about what everybody else thinks is too much pressure on luxury or price or quality etc. None of it matters. If you don't enjoy the watch, just buy what you enjoy.

Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?

Islander, Longines, Tudor, Citizen, Spinnaker. I love the creativity of micro brands, they just seem to try harder

Q: What is your grail watch and why?

Longines Master Chronograph 3 dial. I think it's absolutely stunning and with the history of Longines, it would stay with me forever
