Q: How did you get into watch collecting?
I was drawn to 24-hour watches and then Soviet watches. Those are still my cherished roots!
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
Probably my Lego Star Wars watch.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Search very widely and deeply before pulling the trigger. Hamilton and Tissot aren’t the be-all-end-all and don’t rush to an ultra luxury watch just because you watch Nico Leonard.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Vostok, Rolex, Rado, Tissot, and Eta. But my favorites are Baltic, Vario, Raketa, Fortis, Vostok, and Grand Seiko.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
A Fortis Official Cosmonauts Chronograph.
