Saved by one button from the DST

Sometime the stars aligns just right and everything falls in place for you at the correct time. Like this morning when I pulled out the SKXMOD Casio AE1200 and remembered that I needed to set the time for DST.

In my experience Casio makes great watches but setting them can sometime be a PITA as it requires remembering different steps which might be simple, but more often they are not really intuitive. For example my ProTrek is doing such a fine job demonstrating that I'm too stupid for my watch that I never set DST on it.

But this time I only had to press the Adjust button once, switch to the Mode button to get to the time and just as that a DST text started to flash on the dial. Could it be this simple? As it turn out - yes, because another press of the lower right button switched it on and the hour move forward and adjusted to DST.

I never thought that the idea of saving myself some additional button pecking and hunting would feel me with such relief and a feeling of self accomplishment. But hey, I'll take it anytime if it work.

That left me with some spare time to finish my coffee in peace and get ready for the new day. Not a bad deal overall methink.

I still have over 80 left to set.

I've resigned myself to adjusting my (way too many) watches, but what caught my attention was leather band! I can't get over how clean that looks😎 Keep posting those pics, buddy!

It's the merlot red leather strap from Vario that was made specifically for the AE1200. They also have a range of different straps for the G-Shock that fits without adapters and in both cases I found them to be very well made - the one on my old DW-5600E is responsible for getting it back on my wrist.
