Cobalt coffee with a drop of bronze

It's still dark outside, and according to the weather forecast it's going to be another gloomy day. Drinking my coffee inside was the best idea I had today, easily beating the idiotic notion of waking up before dawn. The best cure to gloom is to add a splash of color and the Zelos is right there with its stunning cobalt blue dial.

The bronze Horizons is technically a GMT. It has the movement and the arrow but in truth it's bezel and chapter ring makes it a bit hard to track different time zones.

What it has is presence. The deep cobalt blue dial sparkles and the light reflected from the gilt indices and hands give it a slightly purple tint at some angles. Bronze watches are usually heavier than their steel versions and the Horizons feels solid and comforting on my wrist.

GMT watches are often too large for me but this 39-40mm Zelos is just the right size and shape. It's one of these watches that you never tire of wearing and I'm still happy that I took the leap of faith and bought the last one straight from the web page.
