A watch not often worn

I don't wear my Max Bill very often. I do like it and appreciate its clean esthetic, but I don't find a lot of opportunities to wear it and due to its all white dial and absence of bezel it often looks too large, despite being only 38mm in diameter.

But today I decided that I wanted to wear it because I felt that's its a good day to make me re-appreciate a watch that manage to be a classic without appearing as if I'm trying to make a wealth statement.

I like the accent of the red lume and on the date window and the clean simplistic design of the case. It manage to be a very legible watch despite the thin handset and indices and the slim case let it slide easily under the shirt cuffs, so it's also very comfortable to wear at the office. It can be an every day watch and I should treat it as such in the future.

Also the display back featuring the Bauhaus building is simply awesome.

I concur on the proportions of this and similar watches being too dial heavy and anemically bezeled. Thin is in.

It's funny, I have the opposite problem. I wear dress shirts most days, and find that I don't wear my divers nearly as often as I should, while my smaller watches are in frequent rotation. (It's a little bit easier during the summer, of course.)

I do agree that an "empty" dial and a thin bezel make a watch look larger than it is. But I do like the Max Bill, as it seems to fully embrace that effect.

Simple 3 hander with a clean crisp dial with date. Such a nice watch, agreed, I would find reasons to wear this one.
