50m Water Resistance all you need?

Inspired by Evan from the You're Terrific channel who posted about swimming in the Mediterranean with his Marathon Navigator, I brought mine as my only watch for a week in Mexico. It survived swimming and snorkeling in salt water and fresh water, and jumping off docks just fine. And it was nice having a watch I could always read in the dark when travelling due to the tritium lume. As is sometimes the case in hotels, I had to charge my phone across the room (no plug by the bed) so couldn't use it for time at night. Anyway, in a nod to Evan I'll say that FOR ME this 50 meter water resistant Navigator is my perfect travel watch that does what I need it to do but isn't a heat score in rough places. I believe the stainless steel Navigators have 100m but I'm not sure that's necessary.

The SSNav does have 100m WR, and a screw-down crown. It's a bit of extra peace of mind, and as you highlighted, not required for most of us.

I would have thought that a marathon watch would have been a minimum 100m WR based on its background.

People are very surprised when a modern watch that advertises 50m of water resistance (150 feet).... Handles 10 meters of water easily 😜🤣

Believe me, 98% of watches worldwide never intentionally go more than 7 meters underwater..... Ever.

Beautiful. I was back and forth between this one and the steel. I love the black case.
