Hey y’all, I’ve been asking myself this question for a few days now. And I need some help, do watch winders break your automatic watches? Don’t they wear them down faster? I have 2 automatics and I have to keep on resetting the time on one of them because I don’t wear it too often. SOS!

meh… i throw my SKXs in the winder since you cant hack/hand wind them… the rest stays stationary in the safe #ymmv
I have never bothered. I think that there are upsides and downsides. There are definitly differing opinions on them. I wouldn't bother if they are no-dates. Takes no time setting them.

Hmm that is true. My usual watch is the Invicta Pro Diver that has a date at the 3:00 position.
I've been told by my watchmaker:
What I was told!
The way I think about it is: If you like seeing your watches spin round and round, why not?

So it the other one you set the most. bingo! Don't overthing i ☺️
Park them for Quartz... you need the quartz to keep the mecs set anyway. Go to the dark side Luke.
I have a couple of calendars, one with moon phase. I use them as a display cabinet as well.
The wolf ones can pause for a few days to let the reserve run down a bit as well.
I got a date on all my watches, but I only own 3, and 1 is a G-Shock 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I like setting my automatics when I put them on. It's like winding a magneto on a Model T.
