Q: How did you get into watch collecting?
I received a Breitling SuperOcean 44 from a mentor of mine shortly after a promotion and the feeling of heft and solid build in a watch changed my view point for life. I had owned a few timex’s, but had never experienced owning a mechanical watch, let alone a luxury watch. That watch makes me smile every time I wear it and it opened the door for my exploration into the world of watches.
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
I was given my Breitling SuperOcean 44 from my mentor shortly after a management promotion. It’s my most prized watch, by far!
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Take your time building a collection. Don’t buy something every time you want a watch on impulse.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
A. Lange & Söhne Odysseus. It is so interesting from style to function.
