Some macro fun!
I have had my Nomos Ref. 181 for almost two years now, and its been a great time piece! This was my first 1k+ luxury watch purchase and a big celebration piece for me, and recently Nomos discontinued this dial variant as well. Photos are taken with my Pixel 5 and a Moment 10x Macro lense. This is not the first time Ive taken macros of this watch.. and while the photos are un-edited, I noticed that there was a bunch of dust on the crystal... even though I wiped it "clean" several times. Another thing I noticed .. all the scratches.. at first I was like dang it! However I actually like them on these macro shots, it shows the wear I've put on the watch and gives it that "lived in" feel to me.. Now I know in a couple of years when I send it off to Nomos for service, that they will polish the case, but thats ok.. I'll put new scratches in the case then!
A watch enthusiast whose always been into watches...but just in the last few years really dove into the deep end of collecting and research.
