Which Big Crown?

The classic Big crown with those iconic cathedral hand and radial pointer date complication is still here! Thank goodness. Oris is introducing the newer design incrementally. The new, cleaner and more effectively ‘tool watch’ design uses their own proprietary movement. I believe the classic Big Crowns will always use a Sellita or comparable movement as a cost measure, and, happily enough, I think a way to maintain a friendly, desirable ‘welcome’ watch. I hope so.

I like Oris, and admire them for being independent, individual and committed to making excellent watches.
