How would I go about getting a true vintage rolex?

My dream watch is a Rolex Date just with the linen dial in all steel, but I don't know if I'd want to spend that money on chrono24. I also don't know of any vintage watch sellers that would carry a pretty "common" Rolex like that. What would you guys recommend.

I’m not a vintage shopper ( @Icarium @YourIntruder may give better direction ), but a quick search, bobs watches have them.

If you live in a larger city, I'd look around and find a trusted seller. It can be as simple as searching online or finding a watch club. The resources of a great group are amazing. Eric Wind spoke to my group and I now know of several sellers in GA I would buy from with no hesitation.

I don’t see why a vintage watch dealer wouldn’t take in and sell a vintage DJ with a linen dial. Classic and popular.

I often use C24 as a shopping window. If I find a watch I like I take a look at the rating of the actual dealer. If they have a positive feedback I go directly to the dealers website and have adialogue with them from there.
