The Watches of Asteroid City
I am really terrible at identifying watches in movies and television shows unless there is a real emphasis on the watch. It is just easy to default to Hamilton as a guess. In the theater you also can't stop and freeze on a frame.
I saw the Wes Anderson movie "Asteroid City" last night. It was set in 1955 and nearly every character, and there were many, wore a watch prominently. And I could not figure any of them out. My best guess is that the Tom Hank's character wore something like this:
That is a Benrus jump hour from the 1950's. Watches in film are not always period correct (quartz Hamilton Boulton anyone?). Has anyone else seen Asteroid City and want to hazard any guesses?

Saw it twice already and wondered the exact same question both times... But didn't recognize any for now unfortunately! I guess I'll have to watch it a third time 😇
I’ve been wanting to watch this since the trailer came out but sadly I need to wait until September until it is out in Japan 😑
