I was introduced to Rolex n other watch movements by a friend at work... Finally realised that I was actually wearing a Chronograph... ๐
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
It was a Casio Edifice Chrono gifted by my wife, very comfortable to wear n one that will never leave my collection. ๐๐ค
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
I almost didn't wanna get it as I wasn't into watches then. 200+ for a watch was too much money to be spent on a time piece but my wife really wanted to gift me one. That was a lotta money decade ago, so I was really touched n kept wearing it.
It was my one n only watch then, until I dropped it n the hand broke. Broke my heart too ๐n sent it for repairs but it still stopped after a while.
I still keep it though, it just means so much to me. ๐ค๐
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Get the watch that you really want n don't be bothered by all that marketing or hype.
Microbrands offer so much value n better specs these days for the money.
That Great watches Needn't Come with even Greater price tags...
N that we can be satisfied witha a non-expensive watch. Mechanical or otherwise.
Buy within your budget and enjoy the journey. ๐
