It wasn't my fault! – last purchase of 2023
You know what the evil of short lists is? If you come across an irresistible deal you will helplessly fall to the item of desire.
I had some years sort of immunity against new fountain pens like some described immunity against new watches. Well, 2023 welcomed some new watches and fountain pens in my house.
When I already thought that the year was done, I had a nice conversation with @righthandwatches about fountain pens and watches with the unexpected outcome that I found a good deal on a Faber-Castell Ambition Birnbaum (Pearwood) fountain pen and pulled the trigger in the last few hours of 2023.
I guess it wood make good company for a whisky, too.

I finally recieved my AE1200 today in tye mail and I got the camel brown Vario strap and wow. It looks amazing but what's really cool is how comfortable that strap is straight out of the package. Love Casio.
Fountain pens are what I use because I learned to write with a nib and an ink cassette. I always felt comfortable to write with a fountain pen and the one that I use the most is the brass Kaweco sport.
But it's been years since I bought any new pens, since they can last forever with proper care. Maybe it's time to head back to JetPens site and see what's new there. Nice pun there BTW.

The Brass, Copper and Steel versions by Kaweco are some serious fountain pens 🔥. That I started with fountain pens in the 80th in primary school, however, didn't protect me from collection some more over the decades 🫣. I sorted out quite a lot of pens, but I still have some 30 fountain pens left.
