Seiko Prospex «Great Blue» Turtle Scuba PADI Special Edition or Tissot Seastar 2000?

I am getting a nice diver for the summer. I really love the iconic turtle design, I allso love the elegant look on the seastar. Which one would you go for?🤯

I'm biased, I really like the classic Seiko design, great dial and bezel colour. Tissot is OK too.

Both are beautiful!

Complete personal opinion, but I really like Tissot as a brand, yet really dislike the branding on many of their watches.

Tissot holds a higher brand position with me as well. Something about that "swiss made" stamp.. idk😂 I really like both options, but the seiko is cheaper and you support the sea clean up by purchasing it. Maybe I need both🤣 Now the question becomes which one I get this year🤡

Seastar…but 1000

Personally, the larger case looks and feels more substantial. The Tissot comes across as more finessed, or perhaps elegant. But that suits the brands I think. The Seiko for me though.

I have a turtle. I like it but l don’t love it.

I know the watch is legendary but I’m not sure it speaks for me. It’s too “tool-y”. Also, the case is pretty big, ie pretty heavy especially with the 22mm bracelet. I love owning it but not wearing it.

Seastar is more elegant and a bit bling-y, definitely more versatile.
