In a book, I came across this awesome looking watch ๐Ÿ˜„

Hello, fellow WC. Is there anyone here that is a police officer? I was reading the book "I Want To Be A Police Officer" to my preschoolers. Up until I turned this particular page and noticed two officers riding a bicycle, everything went according to plan. I immediately thought, "I need to work out more often because these police officers are ripped. ๐Ÿ˜‚" Then, as I got a better look at one of them, I exclaimed, "Look kids, I think it's a Rolex!" Now that I think about it, is it acceptable to wear an expensive watch? After all, no one would be so foolish as to steal a Rolex from a police officer, right? The page shot is included, however it's a little blurry. ๐Ÿ˜…

Cops used to get a special deal on Breitlings from the Canadian agent until he realized that they broke a lot of dials in the line of duty. He was agreeable but dials r kinda expensive to replace for free. This was in the 1990s.

Have plenty of friends who are in various LEO capacities. Some are even in to watches and routinely wear pieces ranging from Seiko to Breitling etc. None of my LEO friends have a Rolex at the moment. See lots of G Shocks, Casio Duros, as well.

I work in a tactical/field capacity myself and wear whatever I want to. If someone is going to "frowny-pants" me for wearing what they call an "expensive" watch, that's their problem. I like watches, I like nice watches, and it's my money.

Also there was a story about a #Long-John, but you'd have to ask @SpecKTator I think? ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿซฃ

More than likely this is a fitness model and not an actual police officer.

But there is always a fine balance when you work for branch of government and how much bling you have. Even if you save save save and drive a 2k car to buy a Rolex it is all about the perception.
