SKX009J1 Price predictions and other questions

Hi guys,

Just wanted to pick your brains. I have got a 009J1 and I purchased it to experience it. It is a great Watch and I can absolutely see why they are so popular. But the 009 is not my cup of tea. 

Now I could switch the bezel and make it a 007, but I already have an SPB143 and a black SMP300.

I bought the watch at an inflated price of approx 500AUD and could make my money back but I am wondering is it better to hold onto it? Given that the price might go up?

What are your thoughts? Will the price go up given they are out of production?

My opinion would be to move it on if you don’t like it. I could be completely wrong but I just don’t see how these become more expensive than what you paid. Just my 2 cents, as they made/sold a ton of these. Good luck 🤙

Thank you. You are right. But what if?😀 but I'm guessing I cannot live my life like that lol

I think you nailed it. The SKX was always a cheap watch, the spike in prices is more about FOMO than the value of the watch itself. 

People hyped the watch hard, but when you look at it objectively, it's not that great...

True that! Maybe I should sell it or get the black bezel. Not a Pepsi fan but didn't wanna fork out 1k for 007

I'd also recommend looking at alternatives. Long Island Watch makes some great SKX alternatives for far less than $1K AUD. 

My view is that "history" and all that stuff is marketing BS, and doesn't add anything of actual value to the watch.

I have actually thought about one of his watches before! Thank you for reminding me. I'll look into them again.
