How many of you still wear the first watch they ever bought or got gifted as a child?
I remember my father getting me this watch when I was about 10 years old as he bought a similar Seiko chronograph during Saturday afternoon shopping in Alphen aan den Rijn in the Netherlands in what must have been around 1990.
At the time the watch came on a blue croc leatherish strap and I’ve always disliked it as a kid growing up. I guess I was a bit young for a watch like this so it ended up in a boxes and later in a drawer until I rediscovered the watch a while ago.
And now being almost 44 years old I recently finally clicked with it.
I just can’t seem to find any information about the watch online. The serial number on the back says 371137. Do of you Crunchers have an idea?
Thanks,
Alex

Beautiful watch and great story. Happy you kept this thing around to appreciate it later!
The best I can do is point you in the ballpark of the movement. It seems to have a similar subdial layout as other seiko chronos of the time with the 7T32 movement. See below. Can’t dial in the exact model number. Hope this helps!
I think it might be Seiko - Chronograph - Quartz cal. 7T32B, alarm - NOS - 7T32-6G10 - Men - 1990-1999, but not 100% sure.

You might be right! Looks like we’re getting there, thank you very much 🙌
I haven't the vagest idea regarding the model number but what a great story, indeed; it's heartwarming to read stories such as yours - that's a beautiful watch that'll last forever.
That’s a fantastic watch! I should know — I’ve got one too. I bought mine in 1990.

And a faithful companion all these years.
