"Fixing" the MT-G M900DA-8

I recently picked up a G-Shock MT-G M900DA-8 (solar, multiband 6, metal bracelet) at Walmart to replace the atomic/solar GW-M5610U that my daughter took when she moved out ("something to remind me of you" that she uses daily as a PE teacher, so ๐Ÿ‘). However, I hated the resin, sand-colored "warts" attaching the (silver) watch head to the (silver) metal bracelet, so I picked up the black resin strap from the GW-M500/530 to eliminate the "warts" - mission accomplished! While the photos don't show it, the top "wart" is even more Quasimodo-like... and the resin strap from the similar (i.e., also atomic and solar) GW-M500 totally eliminates the issue.

As a side benefit, the weight went from 137 grams to 67 grams ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘.

Overall, at the same price and similar size (except for the thickness, which I'll accept due to the metal construction), I'm loving the MT-G M900DA-8 as a replacement for my GW M5610U-1ER (and I have a metal bracelet as a backup if the strap ever breaks).
