I know this is a watch collector‘s forum but, I thought I would share my other, much smaller collection. Only because I saw someone else post theirs and now I can sight precedent. So, please don’t ban me or wish me off to the corn fields or something. To be fair, we are still talking about a personal, well crafted piece with one specific function. Anyway, the one in the middle was my first. I just thought it was clever. The right one I got because of my love of James Bond. I’m kind of sad that the lettering is coming off. And the left is because I’m a network administrator and it seemed appropriate. So, that’s it. My Zippos. What’s everybody else’s obsession second to watches?

Fountain pens.
I have an old zippo that I hold close, and I like to snag any old matchbooks that I deem "cool" lol. Don't ever use them, just like to admire them really.
As well as watches I have always carried a knife. I have collected and carried and lost so many knives over the years.
Graphic novels, jazz and punk vinyl, and motorcycles. I used to have a pocket knife collection too, but once I found the perfect one (Victorinox Sportsman) I sold most of them.
I agree that the zippered zippo design is quite clever. I don't really collect anything other than watches, although I do have several pocket knives. I was tempted to start collecting lighters after I picked up an S.T. Dupont lighter because I loved the "ping" sound when flipping it open. Thankfully, I didn't end up collecting them, as watches are bad enough.
