My first foray into luxury Swiss watches. I come from a rail industry back ground so Ball watches really spoke to me taking their history into account. Featuring an in house chronometer certified movement, tritium lume and superb build quality and finishing for the price point. If I had one criticism it would be that this particular model as nice is it is, is a real scratch magnet with all the high polishing. Certainly gives great wrist presence though. A real underrated brand IMO.

That is a great looking watch! Ball really does make some really nice watches and I agree the quality is up there. They need to get into more stores and away from the pay in full pre-order model they have seemed to have adopted for many of the watches. Some of the models in this format have taken a VERY long time to be delivered.

Totally agree, I have never seen a Ball watch in a jewellers in the U.K, seems an odd business strategy. I think I had to wait about 2 weeks for mine to be delivered. I assume it was being imported directly from Ball in the U.S hence the wait.

I agree. Ball is a very solid brand. I love railroad connection and the unique lume.

Great watch 👌

I have the modern engineer master II aviator (one of the few modern, no date models apparently) and a 60s Trainmaster railroad watch. Very cool that you ha e a family connection to the rails.

Mine took several months and was imported into the US from Switzerland.

It was. I have waited close to 18 months for a hand built watch but the Ball takes the record for a brand that can track it’s history to the 1800s.

Yes originally based in Ohio if remember rightly. Teddy Baldasarre did a great video on YouTube covering the Brand. I think he is an Ohio native too. Swiss based now like so many watch companies which is probably why you had to wait so long for delivery. Quite ironic really given their US Heritage.

Yes, to both the origin and irony.
