I love seeing and reading about well-made, unique timepieces. My collection is small and I don't own anything worth more than $200. I'm not opposed to having a large expensive collection, and I'll probably get around to it someday.
GA110MB-1A . The MB either stands for "matte black" or "military blackout". That might be somewhat redundant, since the -1A also indicates the colorway.
My next G-Shock will probably be the GAB2100BNR-1A , not because I particularly want the octagonal "Casioak" style, but because it's the cheapest model with Bluetooth and solar power.
Setting it is also easier than it would appear. There are hidden pushers on either side of the crown, that are flush with the case and don't stick out. I'll post pictures of those soon. Each push advances the day of the week or month.
When the watch is running, those and the date window change all at once, at midnight. There is no gradual turning over the course of hours. It's like a game to stare at them and try to catch them turning. It always seems to happen when I glance away for a second.
Such a gorgeous dial... Is there a name for that kind of texture?
