My current daily driver is the Stührling TimeMaster Symphony. 42mm case, automatic, original leather strap. It consistently gains 30 seconds per day. Numerals, indices, and hands are metallic blue. Record finish on the sub-dials.

It's not as busy as it first appears, and the complications are straightforward. The half-dials were a new concept for me and took some getting used to.

Wow, that's a very unique layout! I imagine this is one watch you would want to keep on a winder if you didn't wear it every day, so you wouldn't have to reset all the complications.

Setting it is also easier than it would appear. There are hidden pushers on either side of the crown, that are flush with the case and don't stick out. I'll post pictures of those soon. Each push advances the day of the week or month.

When the watch is running, those and the date window change all at once, at midnight. There is no gradual turning over the course of hours. It's like a game to stare at them and try to catch them turning. It always seems to happen when I glance away for a second.

I figured there must be at least one pusher for the month, but that's cool that there are ones for the other functions. That seems like it would be a lot easier than fiddling with different crown positions. Is the 24 hr sub-dial slaved to the main hour hand, or can it be set separately as a GMT?

I guess you'll be staying up until midnight tonight to watch the magic show! 😁
