My last December's purchase came back after servicing its movement.
A vintage JLC travel alarm 8 days clock. Made in 50s-60s. Somebody was waking up in a hotel 60 years ago because of its sound ๐
Everything works. A very beautiful dial, much better live than in pictures. The amazing piece of JLC history.
Happy to have it even if it is not on my wrist ๐

The case design is almost Bauhaus. It is a beautiful piece!
It could be that it was a safe design to carry a clock at that time. And actually it is. When a case (which is hard) is closed, a clock feels very safely packed.
Very cool! Is the alarm set with the crown, or do you have to take it out of the travel case and there are settings on the back?

You can set the alarm by pressing a button on the bottom of the crown. Every push moves the marker by 1-3 minutes. I believe it supposed to move always by only 1 minute, but yep, a current beauty of aged vintage pieces ๐
Hope I marked it understandably in this picture.
