Q: How did you get into watch collecting?
June of 2022 my wife bought me Raymond Weil on cruise ship because she was tired of me looking at my empty wrist to look for the time. Two days later on the same ship I bought a Tissot Seastar. I’ve ever looked back.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
A G Shock around 1984. then I lived in the yellow G Shock after.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Buy what you like and love. Stay within your budget. Be patient. This isn’t a sprint it’s a marathon.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Jeager LeCoultre and Norqain
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
The next one I buy. I don’t have a grail. I want to think I can get the watch I want at some point. It’s probably not true but it romantic. A grail should be unobtainable.
