I had my watchmaker remove all my cyclopses from my Seiko's. My watchmaker worked at Rolex for many years and told me that's where was taught how to properly remove them. Do NOT use a torch You will ruin your watch. Torch will heat up the gasket and oils inside.
If you want to use a the heat method you need to remove the crystal. Max did a video on WatchCrunch on removing a cyclops from a turtle. Use that as your starting point
