I have only owned a Diesel watch in the past, but they are made by Fossil so I‘ll still share my experience.
At first glance, the watch seemed sturdy and looked cool, that’s why my naive 15-year-old self bought it. However, it turned out to be a piece of crap that started to fall apart after a few weeks. The applied indices went flying inside the watch and in the 2 year warranty period it was in for repair three times. Each time took at least a month. After the warranty expired, another index broke off which blocked the second hand and stopped the watch from working.
Any Casio for 20 bucks has better build quality than these watches, so I urge you to just stay away and spend your money elsewhere.

I know Fossil gets perceived as a fashion brand, but I do have a Defender and it is a solid field watch that has held up well.
