The Ressence in the pic is just oil filled to look cool to give it a unique dial, since oil will cause refraction and make the dial appear to be sitting at the edge of the crystal. The Ressence has a standard mechanical movement below the module.
Most oil filled watches are dive watches with quartz movements and the oil greatly increases water resistance as oil is not compressible. That is the functional reason besides looking cool.
We talking MSRP of each or current value of each? Because my watches retained much more value than the car. So at current values watch worth more than car, but not original price paid.
When I buy watches I like to get a good deal, and I will sometimes buy used. I have paid retail for a few watches that are difficult to get any other way. While I generally don't have intentions of selling my watches, I do keep track of what their pre-owned retail values are and I only expect to recoup 50-60% of preowned retail if I sell.
I bought a brand new watch at the Hour Passion store which is owned by the Swatch group. When I got the watch home I found it wasn't functioning properly. The store doesn't do returns or exchanges you have to send in for warranty.
This is what they wrote back when I sent in a watch that didn't even have the plastic peeled off the bracelet yet.
This is the watch that Tony gave to Carmela's cousin Brian who was their financial advisor. Brian told Tony about a way that HUD could be scammed out a lot of money theoretically. Tony went through with the scam and made a lot of money. This watch was Brian's reward for telling Tony about the scam.
